Milena Sardinha Garcez Faria joins Rottenstreich Farley Bronstein Fisher Potter Hodas LLP as a Law Clerk.
She holds an LL.M. from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Milena is licensed to practice in Brazil and previously worked as a lawyer for a boutique law firm in Rio de Janeiro, specializing in Family and Probate Law. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
She started her legal career as an intern at Rio de Janeiro’s Public Defender’s Office in the Family Law division. She then migrated to private practice in family and probate law. In addition to her private practice, she performed pro bono work for domestic violence victims. During her studies at Chicago, Milena received a partial merit scholarship, was elected class representative, and participated in the University’s Global Human Rights clinic.
